And the soundtrack? I wish I could download. This is just a fun game to look at as well as play. I rave on about color all of the time and am not about to let up here: the color work in this game is gorgeous. The stubby little knights with their huge helmets and tiny bodies are adorable - but not so adorable that you feel guilty about rolling an eighty-ton boulder over them. As the kids say these days, Knights Onrush looks like a million bucks. Do you sacrifice a little damage to your door to let a throng of knights gather in one place, making them easy pickin's for a huge fireball blast? There are 12 different castles to defend, too, and many of the stages have specific scenarios and last different numbers of days. You must prioritize enemies, like the little magicians or assassins. Despite the manic action, there is a lot of strategy to this game. With eleven different knight enemies, Knights Onrush will keep you guessing. As cool as it would be to get that freeze gun that turns knights into ice cubes, if you do not at least upgrade to the third door (golden door), you will be in serious trouble. And the meadows ran red with the blood of the unbelievers.Ä«etween each day of attacks, you spend earned gold to keep updating your defense measures and your castle door. Its broken body oozes guts as it is trampled underfoot. Despite all of these possible attacks, the most basic is also the most satisfying: pick up a knight and then just swipe down to slam it into the dirt. Some knight come running in with explosive barrels you can tap to make them blow up in their faces. Or hold one over the fire pit and release when the lid opens. While holding them, you can hang them on the dragon lure hook and wait for a passing dragon to swoop down and gobble them up. You can also pick up knights individually by touching and holding them. Touch a switch to grab a column and then drop it on enemies. Tap a readied cannon to blast the knights backwards from your gates. When a fireball is active, just tap and hold to pick it up and the swipe it toward a group of meddling knights to incinerate them. You activate these countermeasures by touching them. All of these defensive measures will help you keep the encroachers from battering down your door during their multi-day onslaught. With gold earned by smashing pesky knights, you can buy freezing cannonballs, massive boulders, fireballs, bottomless pits, gigantic columns, dragon lures, and more. Knights Onrush tweaks the tower defense formula by tasking you not with setting up a gauntlet to slaughter incoming enemies, but with arranging a series of defenses on the castle.
